In the construction industry, the best and most efficient way to place concrete for a project is a concrete pump. These ingenious machines make it possible to raise the cement material to heights that fuel the imagination of skyscraper engineers and developers. High-pressure pumps with booms and long lines enable pouring of concrete beyond most people’s comfort zone and allow ease of access to this valuable material in hard-to-reach areas.
Any other method of transporting and placing concrete, creates adverse and unsafe conditions as well as increases costs beyond what is feasible due to the need for use of a large amount of manual labor. Engineering today assumes mechanized pouring of concrete that fits within the cost budget in a given project. Without modern concrete pumping equipment, many, perhaps most, of our buildings and other construction projects would not be economically feasible. Concrete pumping not only shortens the work and saves overhead costs, but also reduces the number of personnel used in the discharge of material.
It is clear that the concrete pump is the best way to pour concrete. But, when it comes to knowing WHICH concrete pump will be needed for a specific job, it is necessary to understand what each type of unit does. Matching the machine to the job and cement mix to be placed reduces costs, ensures efficiency, and aligns investment costs of purchase or renting a pump with the project budget.
Mixer truck parts are the most used machines on large projects, especially where concrete needs to be placed in hard-to-reach locations. These units can be found in various types and sizes in meters according to the needs of each construction job.
Hangzhou Topivot Trading Co.,Ltd. established in 2009,is a professional company for producing, purchasing and exporting the heavy duty truck, trailer and concrete mixer truck parts. I have previously explained how important up front research, due diligence and general strategy is when selecting a partner to be your Distributor. Indeed the word 'partner' is deliberately chosen, as the relationship must be considered one of joint responsibility. The day a Supplier describes a Distributor as a 'Customer' is a sad one, as the motives for selling to them will be misguided.
A Supplier will never have control over its Distributor, and it should not try to do so. However with thoughtful and planned management, the Supplier can influence significantly the thinking and strategy of the Distributor.
A shared vision is important, but often the root cause of misunderstanding if the vision is interpreted differently by each party.
So how do we go about singing from the same sheet?
First, the companies must have a similar ethic to developing business. For example they must both dedicate effort to external sales, they must both spend money on marketing, they both must have a culture of entrepreneurial flair. Hopefully much of this has been 'ironed out' in the due diligence process, and it cannot be stressed too much how important the prior research and due diligence is. The 'chemistry' must be right! Clearly a 'can do' Supplier wants to work with a 'can do' Distributor, therefore the culture within the led strip distributor business will either make or break the relationship.
Second, the Supplier must be able to 'sew seeds' in the Distributors mind, that enables the Distributor to develop ideas in line with the Suppliers thinking. Therefore the Suppliers ideas become the Distributors ideas. That way (hopefully) all buy into the sales plan. The sales 'plan' must be written with inputs from both parties, with agreed actions. It must be realistic, with some ambition built in, no different from any sales plan. Both the Distributor and the Supplier must commit to the actions agreed. The Supplier must maintain a level of responsibility, commitment and support to ensure this works for all, as it is in the interest of both parties. Fairly obvious, but all actions must be apportioned to an individual, and given a time for completion or action. The plan must be dynamic, easily updated, and reviewed by both parties regularly.
The Supplier must take the responsibility to train the Distributors team in its products, and must not forget the latest product development updates. Market and Product bulletins will be a key part of the relationship. Make sure that this is communicated in a way that all Distributors can benefit from.
Now all of this is all very good, but what about the new Sales Director, that has inherited Distributors from the Boss or his predecessor. And to make matters worse, several of them are not really performing. How do we deal with this?
First, check the contractual arrangements for the Distributor in question, their terms of engagement (if these exist), and also understand any terms of severance (should this be necessary). Talk to your Boss, check that any drastic action you may have in the back of your mind is not going to drop you into the 'muck', as you are just about to axe his all time buddy!
Antique Oil Paintings describe the story of a time gone by! They attract us because of its beauty and its value. Old things always cost more. Therefore, Antique Oil Paintings by renowned artists are indeed very expensive. Copies of famous and popular works by these artists are available in shops and museums and are easily recognized by most of the people around the world. Let's look more at antique oil paintings.
It is considered that oil painting was first used in Afghanistan in between the fifth and the ninth centuries. However, it did not get popular until sometime during the fifteenth century. Traditional artists use canvas made from Linen which was expensive. Other popular but less expensive canvases used by them were produced from cotton fabric.
Paintings by legendary artists such as Leonardo da Vinci, Boticelli, Picasso, Michelangelo, etc are known for their style and beauty. These arts are not affordable by normal public. However, replicas of the famous paintings are being reproduced and are available at a less price. These can be found in antique shops and vintage stores. They are available for purchase at online stores too.
People who are not concerned about the authenticity, usually prefer forgeries or reproduced world classic paintings. Fake paintings are the curse of the masterpieces of the well-known artists. Chemical analysis and tests for determining the age and origin is the only way to prevent the forgeries.
The value of the painting is determined by its age. The age and origin of an Oil paintings for sale can be calculated by chemical analysis of the paint used in the art. These tests can determine whether the painting is genuine or a forgery. To find out the age of the painting, there are many tests available; some of which can be done at home as well. Examples of these tests are evaluating the "craquelure" (checking the cracks on the paint layer), looking for the pigments and hue of the colors, checking the protective varnishes etc.
LOADING YOUR BRUSH:To fully load the inside bristles of your brush first hold it perpendicular to the palette and work the bristles into the pile of paint. Then holding the brush at a 45 degree angle, drag the brush across your palette and away from the pile of paint. Flipping your brush from side to side will insure both sides will be loaded evenly.
For some strokes you may want the end of your brush to be rounded. To do this, stand the brush vertically on the palette. Firmly pull toward you working the brush in one direction. Lift off the palette with each stroke. This will tend to round off the end of the brush, paint with the rounded end up.
MIXING FOR HIGHLIGHTS:Place the tip of your brush into the can of LIQUID WHITE, LIQUID CLEAR or ODORLESS THINNER allow only a small amount of medium to remain on the bristles. Load your brush by gently dragging it through the highlight colors, repeat as needed. Gently tap the bristles against the palette just enough to open up the bristles and loosen the paint.
LOADING THE PALETTE KNIFE:With your palette knife, pull the mixture of paint in a thin layer down across the palette. Holding your knife in a straight upward position, pull the long working edge of your knife diagonally across the paint. This will create a roll of paint on your knife.
WHAT IF I HAVE NEVER PAINTED BEFORE?There are no great mysteries to painting. You need only the desire, a few basic techniques and a little practice. lf you are new to this technique, I strongly suggest that you read the entire section on "TIPS AND TECHNIQUES" prior to starting your first painting. Consider each painting you create as a learning experience. Add your own special touch and ideas to each painting you do and your confidence as well as your ability will increase at an unbelievable rate.
WHAT PAINT SHOULD I USE?The BOB ROSS technique of painting is dependent upon a special firm oil painting for sale the base colors. Colors that are used primarily for highlights (Yellows) are manufactured to a thinner consistency for easier mixing and application. The use of proper equipment helps assure the best possible results.
Liquid Clear is a particularly exciting ingredient for wet-on-wet painting. Like Liquid White/Black, it creates the necessary smooth and slippery surface. Additionally, Liquid Clear has the advantage of not diluting the intensity of other colors especially the darks which are so important in painting seascapes. Remember to apply Liquid Clear very sparingly! The tendency is to apply larger amounts than necessary because it is so difficult to see.
The CNC machine is used in almost every branch of the manufacturing industry. A CNC router is controlled by a computer, which directs the machine to cut and shape nearly any material, such as wood, plastic, or stone, according to mathematically determined coordinates.
The CNC has been around since the 1970s, and is typically programmed using CAD or CAM. By using a computer to completely automate the process, the need for manual intervention is substantially lessened, allowing a greater volume of work to be performed more quickly and efficiently.
Because the CNC machine is directed by a computer, it can cut with great precision, producing exact curves and circles or smooth, straight lines. The CNC router is fully automated, allowing it to complete precise, high quality work extremely quickly, reducing production times for manufacturers.
Benefits of Using a CNC Machine:
Ease of Operation - Once the CNC machine has been programmed, it can continue to repeat its task over and over again with unchanging precision, easily producing as many identical products as you need with only minimal involvement required from the human operator. This also lowers the production cost, another benefit for the manufacturer.
Speed - Not only can the CNC produce quality work very quickly, it can also be run continuously, greatly increasing production rates.
Accuracy and Consistency - Even the most skilled human artisan will have some variation among each piece of work, and quality may suffer if, for instance, the worker becomes tired. Each item produced by a CNC program is identical and perfectly accurate.
Many industries have benefited from the use of a bridge saws machine, and you can find many examples of products made by a CNC router in your own home, such as your kitchen countertops. In the manufacture of countertops, a computer program directs the CNC machine to cut the shape of the countertop out of any material, cut out sink and faucet holes, and shape the edges of the countertops. The result is a perfectly crafted countertop.
Catfish are native to North America. As you may know, catfish are bottom feeders with slick, shiny skin and no scales, often known as "Mr. Whiskers." They feed on algae and prefer "dead stinky bait" rather than better, live alternatives. They feed at night and can be predators. Most are sleek and quick, but some have been known to grow over 50 pounds. Catfish known as Bull Heads are even more of a scavenger and feed on decaying organic matter. Bull Heads are not the fighters that Channel Catfish are and become an easier catch.
Some manufacturers may think of their led strip distributor in the same vernacular. They may believe distributors are slick, quick, and eager to feed on the almighty dollar. They say distributors "bottom-feed" on rebates, discounts and special promotions, preferring lowered prices (i.e., dead stinky bait) as opposed to the hard work of selling value. Manufacturers believe some distributors have grown large and lazy, demonstrating the "Cadillac and Boat" syndrome. "I have all I need, a Cadillac and my bass boat, so why break my neck trying to capture even more market share?"
After spending more than 35 years in the distribution business, I must admit that I have run into a few distributors who fit that description. But they are the exception, not the rule. Most distributors work very hard, and are honest and loyal to their manufacturer. They recognize that they are only as good as the support they receive from their manufacturer. But they also recognize the reciprocal nature of the relationship. In other words, the more support that distributors give manufacturers through investments in market share growth, then the more support they will receive from the manufacturer.
Distributors are not bottom feeders in the supply chain channel.
Distributors provide tremendous value. Most manufacturers understand this and will openly admit it, although some do so begrudgingly. Manufacturers who truly operate in a partnership relationship not only acknowledge the distribution value, but they seek to leverage that value at every opportunity. What value does distribution provide?
The following is a list of frequently asked questions about the BOB ROSS Oil Painting Technique and some instruction about the use and care of the materials.
BLENDING:This technique refers to the softening of hard edges and most visible brush strokes by blending the wet oil painting for sale on the canvas with a clean, dry brush. In blending, an already painted area is brushed very lightly with criss-cross strokes or by gently tapping with the corner of the brush. This gives colors a soft and natural appearance. Not all oil paints are suitable for this technique - most are too soft and tend to smear. Only a thick, firm paint is suitable for this technique.
MARBLING:To mix paints to a marbled effect, place the different colored paints on the mixing area of your palette and use your palette knife to pick up and fold the paints together, then pull flat. Streaks of each color should be visible in the mixture. Do not over mix.
THINNING PAINTS FOR ADDING HIGHLIGHTS:When mixing paints for application over thicker paints already on the canvas, especially when adding highlight colors, thin the paint with LIQUID WHITE, LIQUID CLEAR or ODORLESS THINNER. The rule to remember here is that a thin paint will stick to a thicker paint.
CLEANING AND DRYING THE BRUSHES:Painting with the wet on wet technique requires frequent and thorough cleaning of your brushes with paint thinner. An empty one pound coffee can is ideal to hold the thinner, or use any container approximately 5" in diameter and at-least 6" deep. Place a Bob Ross Screen in the bottom of the can and fill with odorless thinner approximately 1" above the screen. Scrub the brushes bristles against the screen to remove paint sediments which will settle on the bottom of the can.
Dry your larger brushes by carefully squeezing them against the inside of the coffee can, then slapping the bristles against a brush beater rack mounted inside of a tall kitchen trash basket to remove the remainder of the thinner. Smaller brushes can be cleaned by wiping them with paper towel or a rag (I highly recommend using Viva paper towels because they are very absorbent). Do not return the brushes to their plastic bags after use, this will cause the bristles to become limp. Never clean your Bob Ross brushes with soap and water or detergent as this will destroy the natural strength of the bristles. Store your brushes with bristles up or lying flat.
APPLYING LIQUID WHITE:Use the 2" brush with long, firm vertical and horizontal strokes across the canvas. The coat of Liquid WHITE should be very, very thin and even. Apply just before you begin to paint. Do not allow the paint to dry before you begin.
PLACEMENT OF OIL COLORS ON THE PALETTE:I suggest using a palette at least 16"x20" in size. Try arranging the colors around the outer edge of your palette from light to dark. Leave the center of the palette for mixing your Oil paintings for sale.
Reducing electricity needed for lighting will reduce greenhouse gas emissions, save billions of dollars and reduce our dependence on fossil fuels. There's no doubt that light-emitting diodes (LEDs) will help reduce electricity needs. They already dominate the market for traffic lights, automotive tail lights, store signs and other specialty design applications. Can they penetrate the residential market and perhaps dominate?
LED lighting is beginning to appear in the residential market. The technology is advancing at a fast pace with increased efficiencies and new products coming to market. Lofty prices are the biggest limitation to residential use. As the technology and market acceptance improves, production volumes will increase, more manufacturers and distributors will enter the market, product selection will improve and prices will fall. Led strip distributor today can cost more than 4 times as much as comparable compact fluorescents (CFLs).
Is LED lighting a suitable residential alternative to incandescents or CFLs?
It depends...... on the application and the cost. They're environmentally friendly and cost aside; they're very effective for under counter and accent lighting, landscape lights and night lights. Consider a "test drive" before buying LEDs for reading lamps, spots or floods. Cost may be a barrier. If not, it's a matter of personal preference.
Advantages of LEDs:
1.Very low energy consumption
2.Long service life - up to 50,000 hours
3.Rugged and durable - resistant to thermal and vibration shocks
4.Superior directional light distribution (spots)
5.No infrared or ultraviolet radiation
6.Safe and environmentally friendly - cool to the touch, contain no mercury
7.Instant activation, no flicker, dimmable
8.Broad color range - can produce white light and all colors of the spectrum
Disadvantages:
1.Expensive
2.Limited variety
3.Limited availability
4.Heat sensitive; excessive heat will reduce effective life
5.Lenses or reflectors needed to create a controlled, broad beam (floods)
6.Colors may differ from incandescent and fluorescent
Oil painting has become a vital part of the modern day art. The artists make use of the oil paints to give shape to their imaginations and thoughts. If you wish to use painting art as a medium to put your thoughts into the canvas then it is necessary that you first understand the basic characteristics and procedures of oil painting.
Oil paintings for sale usually take a longer time period in comparison to other forms of painting art. It may acquire as long as a week time. It can be taken as a positive point as it gives you enough time to correct the flaws in the painting if any.
It also helps you to draw the exact shades which make it look closer to life. The painting thus looks great and shinier than any other normal painting. The best part of the painting lies in the fact that during a course of time, as it dries, the paints will not fade away as in case of most of the other water color paintings.
Buying oil paints rightly:
In order to get started with oil painting you require the right quality of oil painting for sale available in the market. They differ in quality, consistency, and rate. They can either be very thick or too thin. The colors also play a much important role when it comes to adding the soul in the painting.
The right way to buy the oil paints is by taking into account the quality of the paint, and the expression that you wish to illustrate through the painting. For this you may need to buy some essential items, which are very essential to get started with oil paining. You first require the right paints and a good quality brush to paint with. You can buy any synthetic substitutes for the oil paint or get oil that can make your painting look more striking.

Strips are usually flexible to one dimension only, which is exactly she the direction of the LEDs can be significant. The most common types of strips have LEDs lighting upwards, so if for instance if you wish to enlighten a wheel you have to look for side-mounted or side-view strips to be able to shape them the right direction.
The carrying capacity of strips is generally very low. Heavy-duty strip lights are not usually sold for home use, but much rather for commercial use on ships and in factories for instance. In home use, where carrying capacity matters - on an edge of a stair for instance - the use of profiles is the common solution.
The IP rating of strips or any electric goods is made up of two numbers, indicating the degree of protection provided against the intrusion of solid objects (including body parts like hands and fingers), dust, accidental contact, and water in electrical enclosures.
The Voltage of led strip distributor should always be checked before application. Strips running at mains are often used, but most of the LED strips require a transformer, since they run at low voltage (usually 12 or 24 V). If your strips need a transformer, make sure it is suitable for LEDs, because electric transformers most of the time ruin LEDs.
Oil paintings for sale for beginners can be hazardous if you are not careful, so it is important to take the necessary precautions. Make sure you work in an area that has good ventilation and airflow. Wear disposable latex gloves while painting. Read all manufacturer warning labels carefully.
How it works varies from museum to museum, but generally, you apply, get permission and follow that museum's rules. For example, in the Louvre, and other museums, painters are not supposed to use the same size canvas as the original. You can't eat or drink in the museum, must use a canvas drop cloth on the floor where you oil painting for sale on an easel and you must clean up thoroughly after every session. Some museums offer copyists locker space to leave their paintings and gear at the museum instead of bringing everything back and forth each day you want to copy during your month access to a painting gallery.
If you can't afford to go to an art school because of time and/or money, learn from the masters. If you can't get to a museum, copy the great paintings from reproductions. If you can't get reproductions, you can find them in library books or on the web.
What you can learn from copying the masters? Everyone is different in their ability to extract information from art instruction textbooks, videos or art classes. By copying a masterwork, you can learn something about the artist's technique, handling of paint, use of color, composition, form, drawing and so on.
Can you learn from copying great paintings? Michelangelo thought so.
The flexibility of the LED strips can be a determining factor in their application. Rigid strips are perfect for replacing fluorescent tubes for instance, though there is hardly anything you would not be able to do with a flexible strip either. On flat surfaces it is sometimes easier to work with rigid strips, though applied on ceilings or walls - I guess many of you have come across this problem before - what appears to be flat for the eye is far from straight once examined with a spirit level. So, flexibility is more often a grace than a burden.
If you are planning to install led strip distributor at wet or humid places, outdoors, or maybe even under water, then your items need to be partially or completely waterproof. 100% waterproof items have the IP rating of 68.
The variety of moods or atmospheres that can be created with strip lights is incredibly large and a lot depends on the accessories you use with them, like dimmers or controllers. Although the largest variety of RGB effects are created with panels, where there is no limit to the effects used other than our imagination, there is a lot you can do with strips too, applying complex controllers, like the DMX, allowing you to set the rhythm of colour change to music. Dimming is always simply attainable, though most strips require a dimmer specifically manufactured for LEDs.
Folding cartons are a very common sight in a regular household. A classic example is the cereal box. Let's look back at the origin years of this wonder product. In the 1840s, expensive items such as jewelry got stored in cartons. These cartons were hand-made and they needed strings and tacks to stay in place. Although it is Charles H. Foyle who is popularly known as the inventor of paper cartons, it was the Robert Gair company in 1879 which accidentally mass-produced paper cartons.
After this incident, there was no longer the need to cut these cartons manually, and thus, began the mass production of folding cartons. However, it was not until 1897 that these cartons started getting used in large-scale commercial purposes. As the first attempts were successful, other manufacturers followed soon. And why shouldn't they take this opportunity? After all, the process of packaging was inexpensive, the storage was easy, and each carton was able to become its own advertisement. Moreover, the "throwaway" culture of the USA triggered a need for something which was easily recyclable too. As a result, folding cartons started becoming more and more popular with every passing year.
Wrap-around Cartoning Equipment: These machines help to form the folding carton manufacturer around the products. Although these type of machines have a low production speed, they are still the most preferred choice as they offer a range of customization.
With the fast development of the LED technology, led strip distributor, ribbons or tapes have become one of the most popular LED products available on the market. They did not only replace incandescent ribbons, but some of the fluorescent tubes as well, and definitely gave endless options for advertisements and decoration of bars, hotels, and other public places.they are now available in very bright versions too, allowing users to apply it as task, or in rare cases, even as a main source of lighting. Their application is popular both in home and commercial use, therefore we collected the main characteristics of strip lights consumers need to consider if they want to make the right choice.
Depending on our purposes the following features may help us decide what we have to apply.
Of all the determining factors mentioned above, the most important is probably the type and size of the LED included, both of which determine its brightness or performance. This difference has already been discussed in one of our previous articles on ArticleBase.com: how the performance of different LED technologies (low power, SMD power and high power) ranges, as well as the size of the diodes. Obviously, the more recent the technology of the LED is, and the bigger its size is, the brighter it will be.
Another determining factor of the performance is of course the number of LEDs in the strip within a metre for instance. The higher this number is, the brighter the strip is, though extremely high numbers within a metre often require special technologies, like double width strips - where the LED are placed not just one after the other but in two or three rows next to each other. With strips including a high number of LED always check their arrangement, because LEDs placed too close to each other may emit too much heat and radically shorten the lifespan of the strip.
The colour range of the LED is now endless, since any colour can be created with RGB technique. There are generally two or three shades of white available: bright or cold white - the bluish, really bright version of white, the warm white - which is rather yellowish like the sun, and the natural white - which is a combination of the two in various degrees. The temperature of the white colour is measured in Kelvin, and the higher colour temperatures (from about 5000 K) are the cold, or bluish whites and the lower ones (2700 - 3000 K) are the warmer white colours.
Single colour LEDs are available in almost all colours now, but the RGB LED strips can also emit a large variety of colours. RGB strips need a controller to operate, and decide whether the colour of the strip should be one constant colour, or should change along with setting the pace of change. Special pixel RGB strips are able to change the colour in a row, creating a run-down effect. The variety of colour changes of the RGB strip largely depends on the knowledge of the controller too.
One of the more frequently asked questions from beginners in oil painting is: How do I get Started? To get started in oil painting is relatively easy. There are some basic supplies that you will need and some basic guidelines to follow. This article will discuss how beginners can get started with oil painting. This article will not teach you how to become a good painter however. In fact, no one can make you a good painter. You can only be taught certain things and it is up to you to take what you have learned and apply it.
Many beginners who are new to the oil painting for sale medium, generally have the same questions. So let's cover those questions now so that you can begin your painting journey right away.
The first thing you will need to do is purchase a few supplies. You need not spend a ton of money on expensive Oil paintings for sale. Start with the basics as you are only a beginner right now. The goal at this point is to get used to working with your support, brushes, paints and other materials. So expensive supplies will be wasted during this stage.
You are going to need a support to paint on. There are a number of different supports that can handle oil paint, but for now, start with canvas. Many beginners often ask if a canvas needs any special coating or priming for oil paint. The short answer is yes, but you need not worry about that either. Any local art supply store or online art supply store will have canvases that are already primed and ready to be used.
Next, you are going to need paint. You do not need an expensive brand of paint. That would again be a waste for beginners. There are less expensive, good quality paints on the market that will work beautifully for your painting needs. Here are a few oil paint brands to test out: WINSOR & NEWTON Winton Oil Colours, GRUMBACHER Academy Oils and DALER-ROWNEY Georgian Oil Colours.
For those of you who may be concerned about the potential hazards associated with oil paints, have no fear. Introducing water miscible oil paints! These paints are fantastic. They can be thinned with water as opposed to using dangerous solvents like turpentine. Here are two brands to try out if you are interested: GRUMBACHER Max Water Miscible Oil Colors and WINSOR & NEWTON Artisan Water Mixable Oil Colours.
Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni's father sent him for formal schooling, but Michelangelo preferred copying paintings in churches. He later befriended arts and studied with some of the great painter and sculptors of his time. But he thought that he could learn more by copying the masters.
In museums around the world, you can see artists creating copies paintings. In Louvre in Paris, you can see a stream of artists copying their great paintings. Copying masterpieces has been a cornerstone of traditional art education for a long time. In fact, one art course you can take at The New York Academy of Art in New York City, NY, USA consists of students walking a few blocks to The Metropolitan Museum of Art (MMA) and copying paintings. That is the course!
I have done copies of paintings at MMA New York City of Gallery Oil Paintings by Theodore Gericault (French Romantic Painter, 1791-1824) and Diego Rodriguez de Silva y Velazquez (Spanish Baroque Era Painter, 1599 - 1660).
Artists at MMA who want to make copies make a request to MMA's Education Department. The Museum allows artists to get exclusive use for a month to one room or gallery in the museum to do a copy of a specific painting. The public still has access, but only one artist is allowed to copy in that gallery. I highly recommend your doing the same.
Museums vary in permitting artists to do copies. In New York City, USA, the MMA does, but the Frick Collection and the Museum of Modern Art do not. Check with your museum.
Are you amazed at all the China Android Smart Phone choices, calling plans, and announcements when it comes to iPhones, Google Phones, Droid Phones, Blackberries, and clones? If so, you can join the club. We've been busy studying these things since they were on the drawing boards, and it's hard to keep up with even spending 2-hours a day studying all the new happenings in the industry and all the reviews out there. In the end however, it is not the branding, marketing, or advertising which will determine the winners and losers in the market rather it's you; the consumer, customer, and user.
Recently, a personal tech guru of the smart phone technology space noted in his weekly column some interesting insights into just how the smart phone market was heating up in 2010. In his article Michael Martin wrote a piece; "A Veritable Army of Androids Coming this Year," as we was discussing how HTC and other companies were going to mass produce Google Nexus One like clones running the Google operating system, all with similar features and a $100s of dollars less than Apples 3GS iPhone of Google's own Nexus One.
Michael Martin noted that we could see at least a 100 (that's right 100, and he even listed the names of these smart phone models in his article) "android phone choices worldwide scheduled to be made available in 2010." Amazing, so here comes the invasion of the Androids, wow - and although things are about to get even more complicated, at least all the prices will be coming down now.
Apple may have found a way to temporarily keep out some of the HTC clones by filing a lawsuit with an international trade and patent organization. It hopes to protect some 20 plus patents that it has for features which run on its touch screen iPhone 3GS model. Hard to say if this will stop HTC in its tracks, most likely not, but if it can just slow them down, it will help US smart phone makers keep the price up long enough to get a decent return on their investment for all the technology and research that has been put into these units.
The Motorola Droid sells at $199 and that is a far-cry cheaper than the Apple 3GS, and if we consider the real prices of technology, we know that they've managed to build laptops now for $100. If a laptop can be built for $100, then obviously this massive competition in the smart phone market will drive the prices down to about what one would pay for a Texas Instrument scientific calculator. Please consider all this.
Residential wind generator are becoming more accessible to a greater number of people than ever before. More people want to know, are they right for me?
There are many things to take into consideration when reviewing wind power, the first being the availability of wind in your area.Once you know if your average wind speed is favorable, the next step is to see if wind power generators are allowed under your zoning. You may need a building permit.
If you have neighbors close by you may want to talk to them about the aspect of a home wind power generator in the neighborhood. Some may be thrilled to see a proactive approach to green power. Others may have concerns about residential wind generators that need to be addressed.
The average wind speed in your area is a good starting point but there are many other variables that will affect the performance of a home wind power generator. The topography of your location greatly affects your wind availability. Even in a high average wind speed area, if you live in a valley or on the lee ward side of a bluff your wind power generators performance will be disappointing.
On the other hand someone in an area of low average wind speed could do quite well with residential wind generators if they are on a hilltop or the windblown side of a bluff or ridge. Some wind powered street lights claim startup speeds as low as four MPH.
The average wind speed in an area can vary greatly through the seasons. At our location in northwestern Illinois, our average wind speed in summer is class 2. In winter when all the crops are harvested and the leaves are off the trees we often reach class 4. Light wind residential wind generators should do quite well in our area.
Because of all the variables involved, and the expense of the installation, site surveys are required to more accurately assess the capabilities for residential wind generators at a given site. This is the only way to accurately gauge the size of wind power generators needed.

Drum building projects that use drum wraps are my favorite projects to work on. Why? Because the project moves along fast, there's minimal effort for a maximum effect, and you can get really creative with stripes, custom drum wrap designs, color combinations, and more.
Not to mention, drum wraps are very tough. Knocking your kick mixer truck drum roller on the door handle of the club isn't as devastating with a wrap than it is when you have a nice high gloss lacquer. Chips and dents versus light scratches in a wrap? I'll take the scratches!
When I was building for a major custom company, I was wrapping between three to five drum kits a day. So here's some tips.
#1: My favorite option: Design Your Own Drum Set.
You can send custom designs and even your favorite fabric to get laminated. This is honestly the easiest drum building project to assure that the outcome is a 100% unique drum set. If you are a graphic designer, than you have no excuse!
#2: Sand Before Gluing
And you thought you could escape the sand paper! Sand the back of the drum wrap with #320 grit paper before applying your glue. This allows the glue to latch onto something... and helps with creating an unstoppable bond.
#3: Precise Drum Wrap Ordering
A common mistake with first time drum building ordering is NOT being precise enough when ordering your wrap pieces.
When you order, give exact widths and order the length of the drum wrap with a 1.5 " overlap for all drums 16" in diameter and under. Any projects with drums OVER 16" need a full laminate sheet (54"), plus a patch piece.
To figure out your patch piece length... find the circumference of your drum shell, add 3" to it and minus this number by 54. Always round up. For example, an 18" drum would need a 6" patch piece (do the math!!).
#4: Batch Your Drum Wrapping
If you haven't heard me use the drum building term "batching"... it simply means to group all similar drum building activities together.
At one point when I was working for a big custom company, I was wrapping three to five drum kits in one day. That's a lot of measuring, cutting, gluing, rolling, etc.
The solution? Batch all your activities! Whether or not you're building for a company or doing it on a lesser scale... you'll save a ton of time and hassle by batching your work.
For example, glue all the wraps at once. While they are drying, glue all the drum shells. Wrap all the shells, and then use the laminate roller on all the shells. Tape all the overlap seams, and then trim any wrap of the shells, etc.
#5: Use The J-Roller
An often overlooked step in drum building is the post drum wrap treatment. Most drum building gurus have huge laminate press' to rid the drum of air bubbles and to help cement the bond of the wrap.
However, the same effect can be achieved with a hand-held J-Roller. Using a J-Roller around the drums with good pressure helps your drum building project tremendously. It helps avoid wrap warping, bubbling, sound deadening (tone is killed from air bubbles), and more.
#6: Let Them Do the Cuts
Let the suppliers that you order your wrap from cut your stripes. Letting them do the work cuts down the necessary tools in the drum building project and also guarantees that if someone messes up, it's not you and it WILL be replaced.
But if you're deep into some crazy drum building ideas and you want to cut wrap yourself...the straight edge cutting jig gets the job done.
#7: Wrap Your Tom and Snare Drum Hoops
A cool drum building trick is to wrap your wood hoops. You can do it with traditional wood hoops, wood hoops with t-rod holes, and regular triple flanged metal hoops (use a different glue like "Gorilla Glue").

The smart phone and especially the Pda phone can be a simple laptop that you can take anywhere. This devicecan take the place of a small laptop keeping you connected via phone and the Internet to all the information you need. Extremely useful for students and in-the-field professionals such as real-estate agents, builders, architects...
Although they are slightly different creatures, the line between a Pda Phone and a Smart Phone is blurring real fast. Smart phones are usually smaller and offer less features than a Pda phone which is more related to a PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) or a Handheld PC.
Increasingly, these smart and pda phones come equipped with countless games, MP3, camera, video... all to entertain you. Important on those long plane or car trips with unexpected stop-overs. Also great to keep any complaining off-spring totally enthralled and completely oblivious to their surroundings for hours at a time. Save big on your headache meds by getting a smart phone for little junior or little miss!
Just admit it, we have all been lost at some time in our lives. Now you don't have to be; many of these smart pda phones come with a GPS system to keep you in touch with your location at all times. Become totally grounded with a smart phone!
There has to be something said about style; these smart phones are sleek and stylist. Fashion should not be a reason to buy a high quality chinese phone but sadly it will be a major factor for many who do buy one.
You can expect the "Cool" factor to leap-jump when the iPhone hits the market. The iPhone may do for smart phones what the iPod did for MP3 players. Hey, there is nothing cooler than an Apple anything!
Besides the cool factor, the iPhone will probably revolutionize how we perceive and look at smart phones. It will elevate the smart phone to unheard of heights and place it center stage in our lives.
Most of us will be smart enough to quickly grab one of these techno marvels. How about you? Will you be smart enough to get a smart phone or will you take the opposite route?
While you're making up your mind, just remember you don't have to be an Einstein to appreciate the smart phone. Nor does being a prime candidate for the next Jackass video necessarily rule you out -- everyone can benefit from having a smart phone.
Achieving 20% wind energy will require the number of turbine installations to increase from approximately 2000 per year in 2006 to almost 7000 per year in 2017.
Integrating 20% wind energy into the grid can be done reliably for less than 0.5 cents per kWh.Achieving 20% wind energy is not limited by the availability of raw materials.Addressing transmission challenges such as siting and cost allocation of new transmission lines to access the nation's best wind resources will be required to achieve 20% wind energy.
Offsetting the Costs of Wind Powered Electrical Technology.Although Small wind generator electrical power seems to be an unlimited resource, and, the best wind sites appear to be competitive with market electricity prices in most U.S. regions, several factors exist that make it a less appealing source of alternative energy in terms of economic cost. First off, wind is not uniformly priced resource. Its costs vary widely depending on project scale, wind speed, region, and other factors. Second, the benchmark for comparison with wind to other fuels varies regionally. Third, extra revenue is required to make a project viable, sunk costs are considerable.
To offset the factors that make wind powered electricity a less appealing source of alternative energy and promote its continued growth, wind energy in many areas receives some financial or other support to encourage development. Wind energy benefits from subsidies either to increase its attractiveness or to compensate for subsidies received by other forms of production, such as coal and nuclear, which have significant negative impacts. In the United States, wind power receives a tax credit for each Kilowatt hour produced; that was 1.9 cents per Kilowatt hour in 2006. The tax the credit has a yearly inflationary adjustment. Many American states also provide incentives, such as exemption from property tax, mandated purchases, and additional markets for "green credits." The Energy Improvement and Extension Act of 2008 contain extensions of credits for wind, including micro-turbines.
Secondary market forces also provide incentives for businesses to use .wind-generated power, even if there is a premium price for the electricity, socially responsible manufacturers pay utility companies a premium that goes to subsidize and build new wind power groundwork. Companies use wind-generated power, and in return they can claim that they are making a "green" effort.
Undoubtedly, further tax credits, subsidies and incentives will also be needed to achieve the goal of 20% Wind Energy by 2030. Today, wind power approximately accounts for about 2% of the electricity generated in the United States.
The technology of wind generated electrical power functions by creating electricity through the use of various styles of wind turbine is a very viable alternative energy. Although wind generated electrical power does have some negative impacts, this author feels that in terms of long-term cost and benefit compared with other types of energy, such as the burning of fossil fuels, using a renewable resource such as wind generated electrical power economically, environmentally, and socially is making more and more sense.

The bridge saw is the most basic piece of equipment in a fabricators shop. However, the needs of fabricators vary greatly when considering a bridge saw, depending on the market they serve and their production requirements. For this reason CMS has designed a wide range of sawing solutions. From the basic Flexa Saw, an extremely robust semi-automatic bridge saw to the SPRINT / FALCON CNC saw which are fully automated, to water jet / saw combination such as SprintJet.
ABWQ-3000A granite bridge saw machine is developed from ABWQ-3000 bridge saw. The main difference is in the table. Pop up rollers are used in the table of ABWQ-3000A. So the operator can easily move the slab on the table before or after stone cutting.
ABWQ-3000A overall dimension is much smaller than heavy duty bridge saws, because stone fabrication shops usually don’t have enough space to stand a huge heavy duty bridge saw. The compact but strong structure design has greatly reduced manufacture cost. This makes the small bridge saw affordable for most of stone fabricators.
The manual bridge saw is the entry-level bridge saw for standard stone shops. This saw is powered and moved using joysticks. Laser positioning lines are standard, also a small programmable cutting system. Tables rotate manually with hard stops every 22.5 degrees. Horsepower ranges from 20 – 40 hp, blade size diameter between 14 inches to 48 inches.
When the North American Material Handling & Logistics Show (NA 2010) took place on April 28 in Cleveland, Ohio, one of its highlights was drum handling equipment. An educational conference with seminars and a keynote series on the future track of Supply Chain sustainability, retail distribution, and the industrial workforce, the summit featured tens of thousands of material handling and logistics buyers from more than 60 countries. Attendees were able to see, touch and operate the solutions of over 500 material handling and logistics providers. They were also treated to a 150,000 square foot show floor filled with manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, assembly, logistics and IT solutions for the supply chain.
In the days leading up to the trade show, at least two major material handling industrial leaders announced key initiatives involving mixer truck drum roller handling equipment. These newsworthy announcements demonstrated the timeliness of the conference's focus. Now that the North American Material Handling & Logistics Show has ended, attendees are likely wondering where they can get more information about the equipment before making a purchasing decision. Who might these purchasers consist of? Anyone who needs to lift, move or store heavy drums is a likely candidate.
Those individuals and/or businesses will want to entrust their needs to an expert in the field of handling equipment that offers a wide array of solutions. They will also be making a smart decision in choosing a provider who offers a complete range of services included with the purchase price of all equipment and systems. Such desirable add-ons might include process evaluation and analysis to determine the right equipment, engineering and design, project management, start up assistance and training, and complete installation and service.
